Gastrectomy
Radical gastrectomy is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of the whole stomach. The procedure is indicated for the treatment of stomach cancer.
Radical gastrectomy is performed under general anaesthesia. You will be asked to lie down in a supine position (face up). Your surgeon makes an incision in the abdominal region to view and expose the stomach.
